Stella and the leopard

Of course you know Stella is the Latin and Italian word for "star", and because 1 + 1 = 2 I thought it would be a great idea to combine the two, namely Stella and Stars in one smashing outfit. See here my new metallic Stella Mccartney snake heels combined with my also new and oh-so-comfy- Current Elliot star jeans. Don't they just rock together? And to make my look a total hakuna matata medley I have chosen to style it off with a tailored leopard coat. Don't bother to ask where I got it from, the bloody thing is pure vintage with its birthday way back in 2007.

Feeling preppy

I have an annoying addiction when it comes to shirts (or blouses how you like to call them). I wear them pretty much most of the time – ok not true I have a sweater addiction at the moment but work with me would you -. There is something about shirts that I really like. It’s the crispy preppy look you get by wearing them. It’s like your one fresh walking cotton washing powder commercial. Shirts are queen of the prep; style them casual and chic with a short-skirt in the summer, leather jacket between seasons and under your knitwear in winter times. The only thing I dislike wearing them is the fact they have a huge stain-factor. From orange make-up stains in my neck (yes I wear foundation) to parts of my breakfast and toothpaste on the front. But that’s just me right?

Cheers to our new pop-up blog

I first became familiar with South London jewelry brand MOXHAM via our own blogger Sophia from Personal Uniform. Of course she's always wearing new interesting young designer labels but I immediately understood Sophia's MOXHAM crush. The mostly leather, brass and triangular formed necklaces and bracelets are a different approach to jewellery and that's what I love about this brand. After a get-together in London and an interview later Maddy - the mastermind behind Moxham - and I came up with a cool idea. To launch a one month Moxham pop-up blog on our website. And the timing couldn't be better with Moxham having a pop-up store in London this very moment as well. This month is Moxham month ladies. And it's not only jewellery we will be showing. Maddy is going to take you with her on a special London tour. The places to visit, the restaurants to eat, the shops to shop and the people to hang out with. Want to step into the world of Maddy's high octane life? Join me and visit the Moxham pop-up blog.

[TREND] Nuts about knots

While the knot it’s one of the biggest hair trends this season  - from runway to red carpet – I’m fan of this five-minute style for years and years. It’s quick, carefree and well honestly it suits me. I like to wear a sophisticated knot. The one that needs some smart adjustments to let it come across as super spontaneous.

I can find thousands of reasons to wear my hair in a knot. Just to share a few:

  1. Being the person who always loses hair elastics, having a knot is the outcome. I easily whip up my own hair to a precarious knot at the crown and voila!
  2. Ok, now I don’t know if you ever saw me on the beach, but when I come out of the water I look like freaking cotton candy gone wild. Having a knot therefor has been my summer look for yours.
  3. Working at least 8 hours on the laptop a day, it sure is nice to keep my hair out of my face.
  4. I think knots are just awesome. They have a kind of aura around them. I can't help it but when I see a woman wearing a knot I always think she must be a creative type, a person who is willing to work hard and a person who simply doesn't take life too serious. (in a nutshell: the kind of person we all like to be)

I’m telling you. Sometimes the best styles are left undone (well sort of..;-)

[Giveaway time] Win a Triwa Ivory Rose watch

So of all the things in life I desire the most, the following two will probably end up in my top 10:
  1. Which is to live in Stockholm. Gosh how I love this city, the people (they’re so kind and down to earth), their sophistication, the quality of life and not to forget their insane good fashion sense.
  2. My extreme addiction to beautiful watches and the desire to own every single one of them. Holla!
Combine those two and you have in my eyes the ultimate product. A watch from Stockholm....
I remember the first time I laid my eyes on the Ivory Rose Tan Brasco Chrono watch from Stockholm-based brand Triwa. I was in a London showroom and immediately fell head over heels for it. Eyes wide open, adrenaline pumping – you get the idea. The pink gold look of this watch is just so perfect for summer and it has ‘attitude’ written all over it.

The watch comes with a leather tanned strap, a white dial with white chronograph sub dials and white index hours markers with rose gold luminous hands. The watch is set within a white acetate case, mineral glass and a rose gold fixed bezel.

And now the good news: I’m giving away a Triwa Ivory Rose Tan Brasco Chrono worth €199,- to one lucky reader.
Follow the steps and who knows you're going to be it's proud owner. This competition runs till 17th of May. Terms and Conditions apply.
